Is the Subaru Outback or Subaru Forester right for you?

The Subaru Outback and Subaru Forester have been part of the lineup for many years. The Outback wagon is especially iconic, but over time the Forester has grown to rival it in buyer popularity. And while they may not look similar, they do have a lot in common when it comes to capability, dimensions, and technology. If you're visiting us at Jenkins Subaru to look at the Outback, don't be afraid to check out the Forester as well!

Body style and size:

The Forester is a compact crossover, whereas the Outback is a wagon. The Forester offers 34.4 cubic feet of cargo space and 74.4 when the back seats are folded flat. Not bad, considering the Outback, which is around 6 inches longer, has 35.5 cubic feet with the seats up and 73.3 when the seats are down.

Capabilities:

Both models come with Subaru's legendary Symmetrical All-Wheel Drive system that makes driving in all conditions, including going up long, challenging driveways, a breeze. They both have the same ground clearance of just a hair less than nine inches, and the powerful boxer engine that keeps getting more efficient with each redesign.

Technology:

Both the Outback and Forester have ample amounts of standard and available technology features like Bluetooth, rearview cameras, steering wheel controls, paddle shifters, and voice activated navigation. They also have the optional Subaru EyeSight package with advanced safety alerts and crash mitigation defenses.

The Outback and the Forster aren't exactly the same, of course, but as you can see they aren't far off! When you stop into our Bridgeport, WV dealership don't be afraid to test drive both.
