Advanced Safety Features:
Safety is one that Subaru is well-known for and one
of the best reason to choose the Subaru Outback over the competition. Every Subaru
Outback come standard with Subaru's highly awarded EyeSight Driver Assist
Technology that features four advanced safety features to help prevent or
reduce a collision. The four features that makeup EyeSight are Adaptive Cruise
Control, Lane Keep Assist and Sway Warning, Pre-Collision Braking, and
Pre-Collision Throttle Management. The Jeep Grand Cherokee is available with
some of these features on select trim levels for an additional cost. The only
advanced safety feature that the Jeep Wrangler has to offer is Advanced Brake
Assist and it only available on the top of the line trim level. In addition to
EyeSight being standard on every model, the Outback also comes standard with
Hill Descent Control. Another feature that isn't standard on every Jeep Grand
Cherokee.
Not only does the Subaru Outback have more standard
features to offer than both the Jeep Grand Cherokee and Jeep Wrangler, but the
Outback also has more available safety features. Like LED Steering Responsive
Headlights and Subaru STARLINK with Automatic Collision Response.
Powertrain & Performance:
When it comes to performance the Jeep Grand
Cherokee and Jeep Wrangler have a slight edge over the Subaru Outback with more
powerful engines and off-road performance features, the Subaru Outback holds
its own. The Subaru Outback is also more fuel efficient than both the Jeep
Grand Cherokee and Jeep Wrangler with 32 highway mpg. There are two BOXER
engines powering the Outback with a maximum of 256 horsepower and can tow up to
2,700 lbs. Every Outback comes standard with Symmetrical All-Wheel Drive and
X-Mode with Hill Descent Control for impressive performance on and off-road.
Both Jeep SUVs have to be equipped with all-wheel-drive and all off-road
performance features cost extra on select trim levels.
Interior Space:
Whether you are packing up the car for a long
weekend or need to get everyone to school, interior space matters and is
something the Subaru Outback has more to offer. While the Jeep Grand Cherokee
is a bigger SUV than the Outback, the Outback offers a more spacious interior
with more flexible cargo room than either the Jeep Grand Cherokee and Jeep
Wrangler.
