The Subaru Crosstrek VS The Honda HR-V
Powertrain: One of the biggest
deciding factors for many drivers is fuel efficiency and performance. This is
just one of many ways that the Crosstrek beats the HR-V with more efficient and
powerful performance. The Honda HR-V is powered a 141 horsepower four-cylinder
that gets up to 31 highway mpg with all-wheel-drive. The Crosstrek utilizes a
2.0L four-cylinder BOXER engine with 152 horsepower and 33 highway mpg. The
Crosstrek is also available in a hybrid model that delivers a very impressive
90 MPGe.
Utility: When it comes to being
ready for adventure the Crosstrek is being hailed as the best small SUV, sports
utility vehicle, on the road. The Crosstrek is capable of towing up to 1,500
lbs. and comes standard with raised roof rails to easily attach any roof
accessory. The Honda HR-V doesn't offer any towing abilities and roof rails
aren't available on every model.
Advanced Safety: Subaru has a
commitment to safety that simply can't be beaten and the Crosstrek has more
safety features to offer than the Honda HR-V. Many of the most desirable
advanced safety features are only available on upper trim levels. Forcing you
to spend more money to get features that are available on the base level model
of the Crosstrek. Every Crosstrek model with the Lineartronic® Continuously
Variable Transmission is available with Subaru EyeSight Driver Assist
Technology. The Crosstrek can also be equipped with LED Steering Responsive
Headlights, Blind-Spot Detection and Rear Cross-Traffic Alert.
The Subaru Crosstrek VS The Jeep
Renegade
Advanced Safety: As hard as we
may try sometimes accidents happen and the Subaru Crosstrek has more advanced
safety features to help avoid a collision. The Crosstrek is available with
Subaru EyeSight Driver Assist Technology, STARLINK Safety & Security, LED
Steering Responsive Headlights, and much more. The Jeep Renegade, however, is
available with some of the same advanced safety features for an additional cost
on the top trim level.
Interior Space: While the Jeep
Renegade and Subaru Crosstrek are both small SUVs, the Subaru Crosstrek has a
more spacious interior. The Jeep Renegade has about the same amount of
passenger space, 100.1 cubic feet, but only 18.5 cubic feet of cargo space and
50.8 with the seats folded. The Crosstrek, however, has 20.8 cubic feet of
space with the seats up and a maximum space of 55.3 cubic feet.
Standard Features: Everyone
loves to hear the word standard because it means you are getting more for your
money and the Crosstrek has a long list of standard features. Like Symmetrical
All-Wheel Drive, Active Torque Vectoring, and Vehicle Dynamics Control. The
Jeep Renegade doesn't come standard with all-wheel-drive, you will have to
specifically buy the 4X4 model. All of the off-road performance features will
cost extra on the Jeep Renegade. Another standard feature of the Crosstrek is
the ability to tow up to 1,500 lbs. Not every trim level of the Jeep Renegade
is recommended for towing. In fact, only one trim level offers towing
abilities.
