With summer just a few days away, we know you and your four-legged friend will be going out more often, so here some tips on how to make new Subaru dog-friendly.
- Always make sure you have a supply of fresh water, a bowl, and food/treats on hand. You never know when you'll be out longer than expected and if it's a hot day the water will be refreshing for your dog and you!
- Keep a nice rawhide bone available for your dog to preoccupy themselves with. While toys are nice they might encourage spirited play time that isn't enjoyable in a moving car.
- Be a good dog-owner and make sure you have extra plastic bags on hand; no one likes the person who doesn't have enough doggie bags!
- Keep a few lint rollers in the glove compartment to easily pick up stray hairs. You should also buy an inexpensive blanket to lie down to protect your seats.
- If you go outside often have tick removal kit in your car: gloves, tweezers, a glass car, and rubbing alcohol. This way you don't have to wait until you get home to remove the tick and you can save it in a jar filled with alcohol to have on hand in case your dog starts developing unusual symptoms.
